I painted this for an art contest dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer - hence the pink ribbon in the bottom-right corner.

I also haven't ever drawn/painted a fairy, and I thought it'd be a great opportunity to try. ^__^ I experimented with some new ways (or rather, abandoned old ways) to paint some of the shades, and overall I think I'm improving, little by little. Sorry it's not perfect though. ^^; I will get there one day...

I hope you guys like fairies! <3 Enchanted realms akin to this ought not to be missed.

This is so pretty! The midnight enchantment feeling is strong and her wings are beautiful. How do you make them so transparent? And the fact that she’s wrapped in a pink ribbon is good to reflect your topic. Kudos to the idea, and did you win? Just curious. 2

Thank you for the lovely comment; I like this one especially because of the reason I painted it. The wings were actually easy - I just took a brush and outlined the wings, drawing the veins. ^_^;"
